Located at the headquarters building of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Abuja, Nigeria, this project is Nigeria’s first government-level integrated demonstration project of photovoltaic (PV) curtain wall and energy storage. Adopting Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) technology, the project integrates PV curtain walls with the building’s exterior facade, and is equipped with an intelligent energy storage system simultaneously. It realizes self-generation and self-consumption, surplus power storage, and peak-valley regulation, effectively solving problems such as unstable power supply, high energy consumption, and large carbon emissions in the FIRS office area. Upon completion, the project will become a green and low-carbon benchmark for government buildings in Nigeria, supporting Nigeria’s energy transition and the goal of achieving 30% renewable energy share by 2030.
